Shilpi Mathur
- Senior Sales Director
Shilpi earned her bachelor's degree in food science from the University of Guelph and has over 25 years of experience in product development and commercial leadership. She uses her decades of hands-on experience in the food industry to bring a unique blend of scientific insight, commercial acumen, and creative problem solving to every challenge.
I have spent my career transforming consumer needs into successful product launches—bridging the gap between R&D and market success.

Todd has more than 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, and he's bringing all of that knowledge to his role as senior sales director of Mosaic Flavors.
He also uses his background in biology to help his clients in their quests for just the right flavor make an impact with consumers. Todd assists with new product development, reformulation projects, and flavor matching requests.
Todd is based in the Pacific Northwest, and in his free time he enjoys skiing, biking, golf, and surfing. He is also a proud Eagle Scout and family man (married with two grown sons).

Andy is a proud graduate of the University of Hawaii and has a diverse background in government leadership, community relations, sports, and education and brings that experience to enhance relationships.

Prior to joining Mosaic Flavors as a national account manager in 2015, Julie worked in the wireless industry as a solutions engineer.
"Through that experience, I learned to really enjoy working with small to medium-sized businesses and helping them grow," Julie said. "I eventually found my way into the food industry via Mosaic Flavors. I was excited to come on board with a small/medium-sized business that was also woman owned and growing!"
Julie enjoys partnering with not only national companies but also small startups. "Being a part of new product innovations is very fulfilling, whether it’s working with smaller companies and watching them grow in the industry or being a part of a nationwide product launch," she said. "Flavors at Mosaic Flavors are a very unique and custom ingredient category and it’s exciting to be 'the secret sauce' in new and upcoming products trending in the marketplace."

With over 17 years of experience at Mosaic Flavors, Mark brings an understanding of flavor development, sample turnaround, and production processes. He partners with R&D teams to provide clients with seamless access to Mosaic Flavors' labs, expert flavorists, and rapid prototyping.
Mark is passionate about removing the common constraints often found in large multinational environments—whether related to time-sensitive projects, documentation, or production—and using a more agile execution without compromising quality. He takes pride in finding creative, efficient solutions that keep projects moving.
Throughout his career, Mark has earned a reputation for unwavering reliability, responsiveness, and a hands-on approach. Whether it’s scaling a formula from bench to production or solving urgent challenges.
My strength lies in managing fast-paced projects without sacrificing quality, ensuring our clients receive tailored flavor solutions on time and to spec.

Lauren Mayberry
- Vice President of R&D
With over 20 years of experience as a flavorist, Lauren has been successfully developing flavors for a variety of applications, such as bakery, beverage, confectionery, dairy, and sauces, to name a few. Lauren has a Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Nutrition from Chapman University in Orange, California, and she was certified as a flavor chemist by the Society of Flavor Chemists (SFC) in 2011. She served on the SFC West Coast Committee from 2016 to 2021.
When she isn’t in her lab creating new flavors, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to concerts, and learning how to golf.

Luke J.W. Haffenden, Ph.D.

Luke has over 30 years of experience in the flavour industry and has been involved in three flavour start-ups. He has a firm scientific background, combined with strong social skills and business acumen. Luke is passionate about flavours and various multisensory topics.
Amidst the limited positive outcomes stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, a noteworthy evolution has been the enhanced recognition of the intrinsic value our senses of smell and taste hold in shaping our quality of life. This underscores the profound repercussions that the temporary loss of these senses can inflict on our daily well-being.

Mark Becker
- CEO
With nearly 30 years of experience as a seasoned food industry executive, Mark Becker brings a wealth of expertise to the table. His background is deeply rooted in commercial strategy development and the successful introduction of new products. Mark's comprehensive knowledge spans across various food industry specialties, ranging from starch to plant-based oils to purees.
Before stepping into his role as CEO at Mosaic Flavors, Mark held the position of General Manager at Kerr by Ingredion, showcasing his adeptness in leadership and strategic decision-making. Prior to that, his career was with AAK and National Starch Food Innovation, where he honed his skills and made significant contributions to the industry.
The company's dedication to innovation and customer-centric values truly sets it apart. With our talented R&D team and commitment to organic and natural flavor systems, I'm confident that Mosaic Flavors will continue to thrive as a significant player in the food industry.

Andrew Kim
- CFO
With 10+ years in the food and beverage industry, Andrew Kim brings extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. With a proven track record of driving financial performance, Andrew is dedicated to supporting the company’s growth and ensuring its financial stability.
Prior to joining Mosaic Flavors, Andrew was the CFO at Amass Brands Group, a beverage alcohol company, where he helped scale the business 10x over the last four years. Andrew’s previous work experience includes finance and strategy roles at GT’s Living Foods, Constellation Brands, and Houlihan Lokey. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys playing golf, traveling, and cooking.

Rich Flanagan
- CCO
With over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Rich Flanagan serves as Mosaic Flavors' chief commercial officer (CCO). Rich has a proven track record of driving commercial strategy, product innovation, and customer engagement across diverse food sectors, including beverages, dairy, specialty nutrition, sauces, dressings, and bakery.
At Mosaic Flavors, Rich leads the charge in expanding the company’s footprint and ensuring customers have access to unique and customizable flavor solutions.
Prior to joining Mosaic Flavors, Rich held senior leadership roles at several companies where he was instrumental in fostering growth and innovation. His expertise lies in aligning commercial goals with the evolving needs of the market, bringing valuable insights to help brands create distinctive products.
Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition from Florida State University.

Crista Righi
- Director of Marketing
Crista earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa. She began her career on the technical side of the business moving from the laboratory to training and consulting for the food industry. Crista has over 12 years of experience in the food and beverage industry and has worked in marketing for the B2B sector for the past five years, translating science into consumable business insights.
The flavors industry is the perfect crossroads between science and business. We know this and provide our customers with the insights they need to be successful.

Carolina Romero
- HR Director
Carolina is a human resources professional with over 20 years of experience in all areas of human resources, including operations, compensation and benefits, employee safety, HR compliance, talent engagement strategy, total rewards, performance management, employee wellness and safety, workplace investigations, and employee training. She has industry expertise in manufacturing, software training, medical management, auditing and loss control, medical DME supply distribution, retail, and medical imaging. Carolina has been in the flavor manufacturing industry for the last three years.
Carolina holds a Bachelor of Arts in education and English literature from California State University Long Beach. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
In her spare time, Carolina enjoys cooking, traveling, wine tasting, and writing romance novels.

Jerome-Elie Choiniere
- General Manager
A general manager with over two decades of operational expertise in various roles, Jerome-Elie brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to the team. For the past 15 years, he has been a driving force in the yogurt industry, holding key positions at Danone. Jerome-Elie's passion for optimizing processes, dedication to exceptional customer service, and focus on delivering tangible results have shaped his career.
In his most recent role as senior operations director at Nellson, a leading COMAN in the protein bar industry owned by a private equity firm, Jerome-Elie continued to exemplify agility, customer-centricity, and a results-driven approach. Throughout his journey, he has consistently transformed challenges into opportunities, elevating operational efficiency and exceeding customer expectations.
As a general manager, Jerome-Elie is committed to leading his team toward unparalleled success. His leadership is rooted in adaptability; a customer-first mindset; and an unwavering pursuit of tangible, measurable results.
